What happened to Obama’s wedding band?

Something rings strange

Newsroom November 15 09:48

Everybody wants to know: what happened to Obama’s wedding band?

Could it be a veiled message to Michelle, a signal to the female population that he is available, or perhaps his way of preparing for a “wild” night on the town?

Speculations are numerous, and have even included the possibility that his golden wedding ring got stolen, that he was careless and forgot to slip it back on after a bath (or shower), the gym, or maybe somewhere else, or even that it fell down the drain.

Whatever the case may be, one thing is certain: his ring, a symbol of his ongoing monogamous commitment to Michelle, disappeared while on Greek soil.  Proof? When he emerged from Air Force One, the band was highly visible on his left ring finger.  Nonetheless, as if by magic, it disappeared a short while later when the world leader shook hands with Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos, and it was no longer on his presidential finger.

The issue is far from trivial, and the possible loss of the wedding ring could even be construed as a major diplomatic incident. One wouldn’t even want to think of what might happen if Barack were to return from his last European tour as president of the United States without his wedding band.

After all, in the past, Michelle stormed and raged at him for much more minor offenses, such as the U.S. President’s flirtation with the Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt.
