Independent: 12 ways Trump shook the world

In just hours after his victory

Newsroom November 10 09:19

Even though president-elect Donald Trump won’t assume power until his inauguration on January 20, 2017, the effects of his election victory have already caused changes the world over, according to an article in the British newspaper Independent, which has documented 12:

1) A key Israeli minister declared the idea of an Arab state “over.”

(Israeli education minister Naftali Bennett, a key right wing element of Israel’s governing coalition, declared Trump’s victory to be “an opportunity for Israel to immediately retract the notion of a Palestinian state,” and cited Trump’s election manifesto, saying;”The notion of a Palestinian state is over.”)

2) American Muslim women who wear the hijab are now worried about the risk of doing so

3) There is unrest all over America, with angry demonstrators setting fires and overturning cars

4) Global financial markets went haywire

5) Sara Palin said Britain and America are “hooking up” over Brexit and Trump

6) David Duke, former KKK leader, declared election day “the most exciting day of my life.”

7) Shares in renewable energy tanked

8) Shares in arms companies shot up to a record high

9) Russia’s political establishment celebrated

10) Canada’s immigration website crashed under traffic from American visitors

11) Jihadi leaders welcomed the news of the new president:

(Hamza al-Karibi, a spokesperson for the al-Qaeda-affiliated Syrian jihadist group Jabhat Fatah al-Sham tweeted: “Starting today, we won’t need media releases clarifying the West’s machinations. All we need to do is retweet what Trump says.” Also, Egyptian-born jihadi cleric Dr. Tariq Abdel Haleem wrote: “Trumps [sic] winning might be bad for us in the short run. However, it is better for Muslims in the long run as he’ll ruin the US.”)

12) Mexico’s foreign minister is claimed to have stated that Mexico won’t be paying for the wall Trump pledged he’d build to keep out illegal Mexican immigrants.
