Acropolis Museum announces Monday openings over winter season

The Acropolis Museum decided to remain open on Mondays so as to accommodate the growing number of visitors

The Acropolis Museum announced its new winter opening times from November 1 thorugh to March 31, 2015. The new times include Monday openings even though the museum had been clsoed on Mondays since it opened in 2009. The growing interest noted over April and the increased interest and number of visitors caused the Acropolis Museum to decide on Monday openings this winter so as to accommodate “the increased number of visitors in Greece during this time period.”

The opening hours in winter are:
Monday to Thursday: 9am – 5pm
Friday: 9am – 10 pm
Santurday & Sunday: 9am – 8pm
